A representation of a sumō match from the Meiji era.
In this version of the print the two main wrestlers can be identified as Umegatani (梅ヶ谷) on the left and Ōdate (大達) on the right, while the referee (tategyōshi, 立行司) standing just behind the latter as Shikimori Inosuke (式守伊之助).
The two wrestlers belong to two different sumō group, which names can be respectively read on the first two red colums holding the marquee. On the left one we have Takasago (高砂), on the right we have Seki no to (関の戸) which no longer exist.
